Proxy Attribute

A proxy attribute is an attribute that is more convenient to measure and that indirectly reflects the level of achievement for a particular objective. For example, the proxy attribute that an be associated with the objective \ to maximize equity of access to a transportation system\ might be \ the percentage of disadvantaged people who have a favorable perception of the transit system\ .
