Cooperative Inquiry

This methodology is based on the fundamental difficulty with empirical scientific research, which is that, contrary to the associated worldview, no one can rightly claim objective knowledge or facts about what other people want, feel, or believe. The approach is based on a cycle in which practical action alternates with reflection. This cycle, notably, is based on the premise of adaptive management, which is not always implemented in ways that include or encourage reflection. (Heron 1996)
