Noncompensatory Screening

The noncompensatory screening approach ignores value trade-offs. It requires that the decision maker specify the minimum (or maximum) acceptable value (cutoff, standard, or threshold) for each evaluation criterion. The cutoffs then are used to eliminate all unacceptable alternatives.
